Whilst we service and repair all types of existing fire alarm systems, when it comes to new installations, we specialize in ‘wireless’ systems. Installation time is much quicker, with minimal disturbance to the property or its occupants. With no cabling to run to detectors or sounders, all the old problems of lifting carpets and floor boards, and drilling holes through walls have gone. No more ugly surface trunking across ceilings, up walls, or around cornices either.

We can usually install a complete system in a typical Georgian 5 storey building in Bath within a day, and the cost is very close to, if not less than an equivalent hard wired system.
Where hard wired systems are required, we work with electrical contractors to ‘Design’ and ‘Commission’ BS5839 systems whilst they carry out the installation. We take on the ‘maintenance’ where the electrical contractors may not want to.
The new grading system is as follows
Grade A
Separate detectors, sounders and central control and indicating equipment with back-up power supply that conforms to British Standard BS EN 54
Grade C
Separate detectors and sounders that are mains powered with back-up power supply and central control equipment
Grade D1
A system of one or more mains powered detectors, each with a tamper-proof standby supply consisting of a battery or batteries (such as FireAngel’s SM-SN-1 and HM-SN-1 alarm)
Grade D2
A system of one or more mains-powered detectors, each with an integral standby supply consisting of a user-replaceable battery or batteries (such as FireAngel’s SW1-PF-T and HW1-PF-T alarm)
Grade F1
A system of one or more battery-powered detectors powered by a tamper-proof primary battery or batteries (such as FireAngel’s ST-622, ST-750 alarm)
Grade F2
A system of one or more battery-powered detectors powered by a user-replaceable primary battery or batteries (such as FireAngel’s SB1-T alarm)
